County Republicans Cancel Scott Presler Rally

The political rally scheduled for Wednesday featuring right wing extremist Scott Presler and sponsored by the Saratoga County Republicans and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R) has been canceled.

Saratoga County Republican Chair Carl Zeilman told the Times Union that “a case of COVID in RISE PAC, of which Presler is a member, forced the cancellation.” If, dear reader, this sounds suspicious you are correct. I am told by an impeccably reliable source that the County Republicans have been in disarray over the week end over the push back to Presler’s scheduled appearance and bowed to the political pressure. It is unfortunate that rather than discuss the real reasons for the cancellation, Zeilman chose to go with the phony COVID excuse.

In spite of this cancellation the TU reports that Presler is still expected to come to Saratoga County. David Buchyn, political director of the Upstate Conservative Coalition, has scheduled Presler to speak at the Elk’s Club in Wilton at the end of the month.

  1. Thank you, John, for sussing this out. I was hoping you would attend their rally instead of Joe’s and let us in on the public fascism. But I guess they think they need to go private for a bit longer.

  2. I had never heard of Scott Presler so I looked him up on YouTube. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that he is well spoken, polite 30 year old gay man who has traveled around America literally CLEANING IT UP. He has gone to some of the most dangerous and dirty cities like Baltimore and San Francisco. I am baffled as to how anyone could misconstrue his intentions. Oh, wait, he voted for TRUMP so he is bad? He isn’t a racist or the extremist that he has been falsely labeled as. He is out there doing the work and trying to make America a better place. Are you?

    1. So you say “he is out there doing the work and trying to make America a better place.” In the past he has:

      – Served as a top strategist for an organization that the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center deemed the largest anti-Muslim hate group in the United States
      – In 2019 tweeted out “Black lives murdered by criminal illegal aliens don’t matter”
      – Campaigned for disgraced Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Judge Roy Moore, who was facing allegations of child molestation
      – Helped organize multiple “Stop the Steal” protests leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol
      – Attended the January riot, calling it “largest civil rights protest in American history”

To confirm, are these all things you believe are making America better?
