Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee Continues To Channel Trump

The level of hypocrisy in the leadership of the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee blinds them to the fact that they mirror the very people they claim they are fighting to save our democracy from.

In this case, the leadership of the local Democratic Committee is battling our City Council, which they allege is riddled with the acolytes of President Donald Trump.

This is from a recent post from their Facebook page:

Apparently, one of the problems plaguing the city’s Democratic Committee is that they cannot count.

Now, by my count, there is only one registered Republican on the Council and, having never seen him wearing a red MAGA hat, I can find no record that he considers himself a member of the MAGA movement.

None of the other four members of the Council are even registered in the Republican Party, let alone adherents of the MAGA movement.

I know quite a few people who actually support MAGA, and none of them are shy about their support for the President.

Whatever your opinion of President Trump, he, like the authors of the Facebook excerpt, isn’t shy about making exaggerated claims about people he sees as political opponents.

It’s no coincidence that the same authors have claimed the “One Saratoga” group that supported four of the five council members are Republicans, even though, with the exception of Mayor Safford, none of their candidates in the last election were enrolled Republicans.

The leadership of the Democratic Committee does not seem to appreciate the intelligence of the voters and that promoting patently false and toxic accusations, rather than damaging their opponents, damages themselves.

Oh, and by the way, there is no money for a new police station in the proposed budget as the Dems asserted on this Facebook post and as Sanghvi has asserted in her posts.

Successfully Offering Solutions To Our City’s Problems and Properly Managing the City Is the Path To Political Success

We now have a bi-partisan Council that has chosen cooperation and professional behavior over drama and pointless partisan bickering. Below is Commissioner of Finance JoAnne Kiernan’s presentation at the public hearing on next year’s budget. It is clear and concise and represents the very best of what governance should be. It’s not long and is well worth viewing.
