A Retired Colonel Takes On The Foreign Policy Establishment

Ok.  The blogger goes far afield with an article on Foreign Policy.

Andrew Bacevich is a Professor Emeritus of International Relations and History at the Boston University Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies.[1] He is also a retired career officer in the Armor Branch of the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Colonel. He is a former director of Boston University’s Center for International Relations (from 1998 to 2005), now part of the Pardee School of Global Studies.

His son, Andrew Bacevich Jr. was killed in the Iraq war.

This is a link to an article he wrote for the American Conservative about a position paper issued by the Brookings Institute which he savages.  The article was a collective piece written by the whose who of the foreign policy players in Washington.
