This is an excellent story from the Atlantic Magazine on how Alden Capital is destroying the print press.

This is an extremely interesting phase in information consumption for humanity. Being a sentient person acting in a deliberate manner out of free will requires one to be literate and to be able to access information, as well as to consume media without the knowledge of others. The shift to digital media consumption was and is coupled with this lack of privacy. Some companies are even tracking your eyes with web-cameras to see what text you read on the screen in front of you.
So, this shift to digital has both benefits and drawbacks. Real paper, like real butter, may be a premium product of the future – rationed through price.
