On May 8th, my father, Bennie Hicks, passed away peacefully at home in Spotsylvania, Virginia. He was the source of so much strength, wisdom, and inspiration in my life. And he was so proud that I was continuing our family’s commitment to service by running for public office here in Saratoga Springs.
Thank you, Everyone, for your condolences, well wishes, and support during this heartbreaking and challenging time for myself and my family— your patience and kind words have been comforting and reassuring.
I know my dad will be lending extra long-distance support to my efforts here, now that he is free of his physical constraints. I’m so fortunate to have him … and all of you … on my team!
