At the June 6, 2023, Saratoga Springs City Council meeting, Accounts Commissioner Dillon Moran falsely alleged that the police slammed Black Lives Matter activist Lexis Figuereo up against a wall when he appeared at the Saratoga Springs Police Department to be fingerprinted in response to a summons. The summons was related to an incident where Figuereo disrupted a Council meeting and seized the microphone from Democratic mayor candidate Chris Mathiesen who was attempting to address the Council.
Moran has repeatedly made heated and intemperate accusations against Public Safety Commissioner Montagnino at Council meetings. The police are now the collateral damage in his feud with Montagnino.

At yesterday’s special City Council meeting (that few will see and not yet posted on the webpage) Moran attempted to apologize to the police At best it was a weak apology that essentially put the blame back on Montangnino. It seems that no one on this council can actually take responsibility for what they do or what comes out of their own mouths.

This whole group is pathetic, all of them.
Our police department is not perfect, none are, but to have them trashed by lies for over a year now is unbearable.
I want the police body cam videos of the worst crap they put up to be released.
The public needs to see what they tolerate and put up with every day.
Dillon is a liar and his hatred of Jim and the police are clearly shown. Horrible.
Vote them out.

Unfortunately, because of the constant rancor that exists at EVERY City Council meeting, getting candidates to run for public office is at an all time low. Who, in their right mind, would want to join this sorry excuse of city council members? Yes, Moron is a proven liar. Sorry to say, he is unopposed in this November’s election

This is not the first time Dillon Moran has tried to amplify the false narrative of BLM that Saratoga’s Police are murderers and use abusive tactics. He along with Kim and Minita falsely claimed police were standing by in full riot gear at a Council meeting BLM was disrupting. Once again video proved all three were wrong.

Mr. Dillon was dressed for the Flag Day parade like he just came from a barbecue. Tedisco was there but chose to walk alone. I don’t blame him. I mean, would it hurt our elected officials to put on a blazer for the parade? Just try to look professional?
