This is a breakdown of the voting by district in the city. A few observations
- The proposed charter lost in 14 of the 25 election districts.
- The proposed charter tended to win in districts closer to the central core of the city.
- The proposed charter tended to lose in the outer districts.
- All three districts in Geyser Crest strongly opposed the charter change.
- Skidmore students strongly supported it. 128 voted for, 18 voted against and 25 left it blank.

The newspaper had reporters and photographers, editorial staff, composing room, pressmen, circulation and advertising.
